  • Travel

We strongly urge local attendees to walk or take public transport to Cotton Clouds Festival to minimise congestion on the day.

Cotton Clouds Festival takes place at:

    Saddleworth Cricket Club
    Well-I-Hole Rd
    OL3 7HY

There are very limited parking facilities at the festival. These are available on a first come, first serve basis and will be charged at £5 per day.

Due to the limited facilities available on site, we cannot guarantee parking will be available and we strongly recommend that festival attendees use public transport, taxis or arrive on foot to the festival.

Parking will be charged at £5 per day (cash only) and there will be no overnight parking available.

Saddleworth Cricket Club is located less than a mile from Greenfield Train Station and 1.4 miles from Mossley Train Station. Both are on the Huddersfield line running between Manchester Victoria and Huddersfield every hour. A full breakdown of train times is available from the National Rail website here.

Saddleworth Cricket Club is located on Well-I-Hole Rd in Greenfield, Oldham. Buses passing the site (that stop at The Royal George pub) are numbers 350 (going to and from Oldham and Ashton) and 354 (going to and from Ashton and Denshaw). A full breakdown of bus timetables can be found here.

  • Accomodation

We do not offer camping facilities ourselves, however, there's a fantastic campsite across the road from our site called "Well-i-hole Farm". The farm can cater for tents, motor homes, trailer tents and caravans. For more information please visit their website here.

There are a number of small hotels and B&B's throughout Saddleworth, Oldham and Ashton.

  • Kids Activities

We've teamed up with local arts group Global Grooves to bring you a whole host of arts, crafts & musical happenings. There'll be drumming workshops, lantern making and an evening carnival procession through the festival site of some huge puppets, a fire breathing dragon (she's called Bessie), illuminated dancers and drummers!

The kids will be able to make lanterns through the day and join in the procession in the evening.
We aim to build a festival which encompasses a full spectrum of arts & musical activities to inspire and engage the younger generation (and the young at heart!)

*Please note that the above activities will take place on the Saturday only.

Trader applications for Cotton Clouds Festival 2018 are now closed.

  • Opening Hours

Cotton Clouds Festival will run from:

    5pm - 10pm on Friday 17th August
    12noon - 10pm on Saturday 18th August 2018.

  • Accessibility

If you have any access requirements please inform us in advance on

  • Artist Applications

Artist applications are now closed for 2018.

  • Food & Drink

We do not allow food & drink to be brought into the festival. We rely on the income from the bar to make our event feasible financially. Without this income, we simply wouldn't be able to operate.

We work hard to curate our lineup of food traders to bring you the perfect offering to complement a day of amazing music. Check out our food traders for 2018 here.

Earlier this year we developed our own Cotton Clouds Craft Ale with Greenfield based Donkeystone Brewery, the ale has been a huge hit locally and has sold over 15,000 pints since March! Make sure you try it at CCF18!

  • Chairs

As part of our conditions of entry we do allow attendees to bring camping or fold up chairs only. The festival reserves the right to deny entry with items we deem inappropriate for purpose.

  • Friday Night Event Information

The Friday night event will run from 5-10pm. Only the main stage, bars and food traders will be in operation. No kids activities will run on the Friday evening.

Two tickets (both Friday and Saturday) are required if you wish to attend both days.

Friday night tickets are heavily discounted at £25 to make the Friday as accessible as possible to those who have already purchased Saturday tickets.
